Cold Clank

A cold night in the garage.  Cameron came over.  We did splendour (twice), and then Clank.  Once again, I didnt get out of the dungeon!

Rise of Fenris #7

Our second last game for Rise of Fenris.  I got moved to a new start position -- the normal Nordic start position.  Except my workers didnt have the 'swim' ability to get to useful locations.  I was trapped.  I managed to build transport, but by the time I got my engine going I was a long way behind.

Cosmic Robotic Election

It was election day.

It was also a robotics workshop at the house.  After Robotics, I took some of the kids to HOGS.

We played Cosmic Encounter and Bohnanza.  The kids really, really liked Cosmic Encounter.

Divided Opinions

Rob bought Merchants and Marauders.  A game of ships in the Caribbean.  You can ship goods around, or go full pirate.

I was teamed with Cassie, and we went merchant path.  Cameron went full pirate.  Martha and Rob went merchant, but were right next to Cameron, and hence had to look over their shoulder all the time.

This game really polarized opinions -- I liked it, but Martha hated it.  Cameron wasn't too fond either, as the pirate path proved to be hard.

And he was never seen again...

Another game of Clank

- I hired a healer, and tried to heal damage faster than I got it.
- Martha ran in, got a treasure, and ran out
- Cassie tried to be quiet, and hence get no damage from the dragon.
- Rob tried lots of things, but used his cat 'Mr Whiskers' to keep quiet as well.

In the end:
- I couldn't heal fast enough, and my body is somewhere in the depths of the dungeon
- Martha got a respectable score
- Cassie dies, but had so much loot her heirs salvaged the body and lived in wealth -- a win for Cassie
- Rob also got a respectable score, but not as good as Martha's

I have been keeping track of everyone's score ...

Hogs

Game 1 was Clank.  First time I have played it, but played with some young uns who were exceptionally bright, and calculated scores, card counted, etc.

I came 2nd by 1 point -- 103 to 102. 

Clank is a fun game -- but its multiplayer solitaire with just a bit of interaction: 'You took the treasure I was after!  grrrr'

We followed up with Terra-forming Mars, and Martha stomped us!!!!

Who has a victory now?

What a great game.  Probably because of a great crew.  There are 3 ways to win.  The rule is that if there is a tie for victor, then no one wins and the game continues.

We thought it would be a short game.  But with lots of negotiation and skullduggery, the game took forever.  If someone was winning, the other three would elevate someone else, or combine to knock them down.  At one point all players were tied with a win condition.  Somehow I managed to win.
