Rob's Tragedy

 Triumph and Tragedy.  It was a learning game for Rob, and he had a hard time.  We called it at 10, and Ross was winning, but I had momentum.

Some more T&T

 Triumph and Tragedy.  I was the British, and failed totally.  But Russia and the USA were very close, taking out Japan.

Rob's first wargame

 Only 3 for games, so we played Triumph and Tragedy.  Rob had never played a wargame, so he was apprehensive.  He did manage to win though!

Triumphant Cameron

Triumph and Tragedy.  As Germans, Ross pressured the USSR.  But as the USSR I held on.  Out of the fray, Cameron produce himself to victory.

 

A Tragedy

 Triumph and Tragedy.  Cameron was German.  In 36 he invaded France, and won.  In 37 he invaded Russia -- and he almost got to Moscow.  But he ran out of steam and the allied meat grinder powered up.

Triumph and Tragedy

 What a great game!  I was Axis, Simon was USSR, and Cameron was the west.

The Axis started out strong, building up an impressive industrial base.

The USSR declared war on the Axis, and invaded through Sweden.  The advance was stalled, but the German economy was crippled through lack of resources.  Poland was neutral and was a buffer preventing USSR aggression in Eastern Europe.

The West declared war on the USSR, and advanced up from India.  This didnt go well -- within a year India was occupied by the USSR.

The Axis really pushed on the diplomatic front, and managed to resurrect a lot of their economy.

At this point we called time.  The USA had entered the war, and the West was poised to attack the Axis from France - which would have been hard to stop.
