Spirit Island
A very complex game, but an interesting puzzle. We may have missed a few rules, as we managed to win.

African Campaign retry
Camron and I retried African Campaign. It is an interesting battle of wits. Cameron made a mistake, and the German panzers surrounded a couple of divisions on a 2:1 attack, with a 50% chance of victory. But the victory didnt eventuate, and instead the German 21st Panzer division was surrounded and eliminated, along with Rommel. So victory to Cameron.

Field Commander Napoleon 1815
Napoleon won at waterloo. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture!!!!
Napoleon went into battle at Waterloo, and committed a large cavalry sweep -- which never arrived. The resulting battle was a slog, with Napoleon struggling to remain unbroken. He managed to hang on till the evening, and withdrew. However, he withdrew with his cavalry, and the allies broke their army up to pursue. Napoleon then crushed the Prussians with the support of his undamaged cavalry, and then turned on the pursuing British and crushed them.

Field Commander Napoleon 1814
What a disaster. Napoleon collapsed faster than historically. For the first time, Napoleons stratagems didn't work -- the allies got to the front line undisrupted and showed that they could fight.

Milito and Keyforge reprise
We retried Milito and Keyforge. Milito was a lot faster. I won 3 games -- I clearly groked Milito better than Ross. But Ross got revenge in keyforge which was another slugfest.

Some card games
Got two card games to the table I have been wanting to get out. Keyforge and Milito. Not sure we were playing Milito right -- the review said 30 mins for a game or less, often a lot less. After 30 mins we were stuck fighting it out, though I was slowly being ground down.
Keyforge took a long time, but it was actually impossible for the game to be any closer -- definitely worth playing again!

Field Commander - 1812
An unusual scenario. Napoleon must get to Moscow, then back to Prussia. But he suffers casualties from the weather each turn. It is a race. I did well, being just 1 unit short of a superior victory.

Dice Men and Flames of War
Introduced Leon to Flames of War. Leon won handily -- the German tanks couldn't kill the paratroopers in time.

Lake Trasimene and Cannae
As we work through the Punic war, we got to Lake Trasimene. This went historically, with my Punic forces getting a resounding victory. However, Ross got revenge in Cannae, where the Romans crushed the Punic forces!

Rooted
Wednesday Games. We played Root.
It was incredibly close. Rob won, with Ross 2 VP away from winning, and Mike and I well back. BUT -- if Rob hadn't won, on my next move I would have got enough points to win. And if I hadn't won, Ross was about to go over the finish line.

Sails of Glory
We had some real sailors - Cameron and Cassie. And we got lots of rules wrong. But we had fun blowing each other up.
