Where is my cow?

Castles of Burgundy at Hog's.  I was playing a long game.  While dead last, if I got one more cow token I would have caught up with the pack.  So the guy in the lead sacrificed points to buy the cow token and keep me in last place :(

It was a fantastic game!

Lara comes from close to Burgundy!

Castles of Burgundy with Lara.  The game ended with a tie.  Lara would have won if she hadnt made a mistake on the last turn.

Friendly Games

Went to Hogs, and played with Greg (who is a teacher at Friends) and his sister Jennifer (I think -- my memory is horrible), and Anthony.

And we then finished off with some WWI dogfights.

We started out with Castles of Burgundy, where Greg won handily, out mathing me.

I got my revenge in Splendor,

And we then finished off with some WWI dogfights.

Flying planes is getting serious!!!!

The Germans have a downed an allied plane!!!

HOGS -- Castles of Burgundy and Code Words

Went to a HOGS meeting

Game 1 was Castles of Burgundy.  I Saw it being set up when I walked in and commented that I had always wanted to learn how to play it.  Next thing you know I was knee deep in a game.  I came second, though the winner was way, way ahead!

There was a fair turnout.  This meeting was on a Friday evening, and it was a very different crowd to Saturday evening meetings.

The second game was Code Words.  My team won both games, through pure luck.  In the first game there was a good grouping of words, and in the second game a team member guessed a card which happened to be correct, putting us in the box seat.
