Pandemic Legacy Hobart - December

We Won!!!!   Barely.  Final score was 541 out of 1000.

December proved to be easy.  We had the hang of inoculating cities.  helped by the fact that the infection deck contained a cities that could be inoculated, and we had built lots of vaccine factories.  And we had 6 funded events!

Pandemic Legacy Hobart - November

And we lost spectacularly!!!!

Pandemic Legacy Hobart - October

Things were getting hard

And then our colonel died!

This was treated very seriously!

We were all very supportive of Cameron

But we still scraped a win

What shall we do?

The perfect move!

Oh - oh -- another city getting restless!

Pandemic Lagacy Hobart -- September I

So close.  We thought the initial disease break was tricky, with two outbreaks very close to each other.  Things looked bad when we got an epidemic on the first turn.  But none of the outbreaks expanded, and we quickly got all diseases under control.  We were about to cure two diseases, and the game looked so easy to win.  Then we got an epidemic -- a disease broke out next to our two close outbreaks, and then both outbreaks expanded, and in a set of chain reactions we lost the game, just like that.

August - Pandemic Legacy Hobart

We tried using the colonel for the first time.  He was shooting faded left, right, and center.  An easy victory this month!  (We still havent searched for the virologist -- I think we are setting ourselves up for a hard time!)

Pandemic Legacy Hobart - July 2

Powered through this easily.  Well -- sort of easily -- we would have lost if we didnt have the funded event card that let us see what epidemics were coming up!

We were off to a good start!

We won!  And we ate the cheese!

It was as easy as Cameron said it would be!

Pandemic Legacy Hobart - July

Destroyed.  But when you draw two epidemics together, the game becomes really hard!!!!

Crap!

Badness everywhere!

Pandemic Legacy - Hobart - June

Sometimes you get the luck you need!!!!

We were close to death, with outbreaks everywhere.  We needed 2 player turns to win, with no large outbreak in the yellow cities.  We were drawing 6 plague cards over the 2 turns, and there were two yellow cards in the top nine.  As long as we didnt draw both we could win.  And we did it!!!!

Gee the game is easy!!!!!!

Who shall we choose as characters?

Is Christine praying?

We must have got a good draw!

The end -- disease everywhere!!!!

Pandemic Legacy - Hobart - May attempt 2

We had a dream run.  None of the uncurable disease cards were drawn.  The diseaes that were drawn were right next to our starting position or right next to a base we could fly to.  And the medic got first turn and cured two of our major outbreaks before anything could happen.

Why isnt the game always this easy!!!!

I wonder what next month will bring!

Pandemic Legacy -- Hobart -- May

Disaster.  Disease everywhere.  Zombies everywhere.

We lost to too many outbreaks, right before we lost too running out of time.  We were rubbish!

Pandemic Legacy -- Hobart -- April

The Zombie Apocalypse has started.  We managed to beat the game for April, but Mumbai is city zero for the zombie plague!!!!

Cameron and Martha plan strategy.

Zombies terrorize the subcontinent!

Gosh we look pleased.  But it will get worse!!!!!

Pandemic Legacy -- Hobart -- March

It took us two tries in the one night, but me managed to complete March.

The first game was so close -- we had the cards to cure a disease (and eradicate it), and we just needed to build one more military base.  And then the red disease went berserk and we lost.  So we tried again.  The second game was much longer.  Having built a military base as the bonus for the lost game, we built more military bases, and used them to fly military personnel around the world preventing outbreaks.

Pandemic Legacy -- Hobart -- February

We won.  Just.  By the skin of our teeth.  We had no more black cubes to place, and a turn to go till we could win.  We had the quarantine specialist, and we were playing quarantine markers as fast as we could.  But we managed to get through to the win!

Christine was the Quarantine Specialist, quarantining everywhere!

Just before victory

Pandemic Legacy -- Hobart -- January

We have started Pandemic Legacy in Hobart.  Playing with Cameron, Christine, Martha, and me.

We started the January game with a fairly standard roster of Medic, Dispatcher, Researcher, and Scientist.  We won, but only just.  Cameron "we have the game wrapped up" Harris drew a bad epidemic card, and we had 3 outbreaks on the last turn!  Net result is a pair of rioting cities!!!!  And we are only at January!!!!

But we won!
