Kid level star wars
Next door neighbour (+1) Harley came over and we played star wars -- Luke Skywalker vs a pair of Tie Fighters. Harley was Luke. We didn't get to an end -- Harley's dad picked him up after an hour.

Games Laboratory
Caught up with Lowell at the Games Laboratory! Played X-Wing, and Lowell (of course) trashed me!!!! Hopefully this is the start of several games with Lowell as I travel to Melbourne.

X-Wing Gone Wild!
A massive X-Wing battle with the big ships!!!
1. Big ships are super cool
2. Too many big ships really crowd the table!
Ships provided by Daniel. Nick, Lowell, and myself as resistance. Heath, Daniel, and someone whose name I have forgotten as Imperial.
The resistance was destroyed. To paraphrase Admiral Akbar -- It was a trap!!!

Rod must have offended the Gods!!!!
A game of Warhammer Ancient Battles using approximately 2200 points. I was Romans, and Rod was Barbarians.
The poor Romans were stuck in fields and then crossing a stream, all the while being shot at by skirmishers. They should have been decimated. Or worse!!!! But such was not the outcome!
1. Rod's Noble Cavalry charged the Roman Equites. Rod's cavalry had better fighting skill and better morale. His charging unit was backed up by a second unit.
2. Rod's cavalry won, but only just. The Roman cavalry had to make a morale test, which they passed.
3. The second round of combat was a tie.
4. The third round of combat was won by the Barbarian cavalry -- but only just. The Romans had to take another morale test, and passed.
5. The fourth round of combat was won by the Romans -- this was against the odds. The Barbarian cavalry had to take a morale check, rolled box cars, and broke.
6. The supporting cavalry had to take a panic test for seeing a rout, rolled box cars, and broke.
7. Four supporting infantry hordes had to take panic tests. Two rolled box cars, and broke.
8. The pursuing Roman cavalry caught the Barbarian cavalry that was routing and destroyed them.
At this point the barbarian army had been gutted -- and they hadn't even got into combat yet! Rod conceded and we went and played X-Wing!
Rod got his revenge in X-Wing though. Hans and Luke and some nobody blew through my imperial Tie fighters like they were made of plastic!

Tie fighter horde
X-Wing at the club tonight. Daniel showed us some tricks, given he has several years experience.
We had 100 points each in a 2 vs 2 game. Me and Rob as the good guys, while Daniel and Lowell were those scum resistance folks that keep blowing up our ships.
At first the empire was doing well, when we shot down Bobba Fett (who was a mercenary for hire for the resistance).
But then the resistance got close. They had autoblasters, and their close in firepower was destroying a ship or two a turn. We just couldnt stand against them!!!
The battle was actually close. If we had rolled a bit better, and taken out the resistance B-Wing, we could have kept our distance from the resistance and blasted them at long range!

X-Wing
X-Wing with Rob. My Tie fighters were comprehensively destroyed by Rob -- I managed to hang on, but when I conceded all of my fighters were one hit away from destruction, and I had lost my two aces.
