Gloomhaven Solo

I have been playing gloomhaven solo, with a spellweaver and a mindthief.

The charm of gloomhaven has worn off.  There is little discovery, and it is a massive grind.  While there are people on the forums saying the game is too easy, there are others, me included, that are saying it is too hard.  I think it comes down to the set of starting characters.  Both of mine are 'support' characters, not capable of running into a room and killing something.  Even on easy mode I often lose.  And i have double and triple checked -- I am not making rules mistakes.  I have to pack the game away as I have no where to play it, but I cant see it coming out soon.

HOGS Outer Space

Went to HOGS and played a space game.  I cant remember the name, but it wasnt bad.  You had to travel to Pulsars and 'mine' them.  You could win by science, exploring, building mines, etc.  I started out going for science, but realised two other people were going for science, so I switched to exploring.  I managed to explore enough to get the win!  Someone bought cupcakes to HOGS, which was much appreciated!

Yet More Netrunner Again

Cameron and I love Netrunner.

Maria assisted this time as well.  But it gets hard to play when a tail swish will disrupt your card setup!

War at Sea

I used to be great at this game.  Cameron made a mistake.  But my deployment didnt capitalise.  And then Cameron figured out what he was doing ...

Comprehensively defeated.  But great to get an old classic out again!

Deluxe Scythe

I dont play Scythe better on the deluxe board -- comprehensively trounced!!!  But it is a beautiful thing to play on!.

Wednesday night Netrunner has become a thing.  Cameron uses the same deck -- I deck build each week.

Hold the Flank

I was in charge of the cavalry flank.  My orders were to hold - -so I did nothing until the battle was won in the center.  Jim and I then had an inconsequential cavalry battle -- but the opposition had lost and had to retreat!
